Orienta was established in 1992 - originally offering exclusively oriental furniture and giftware.
Within a few years this developed to include furnishings and furniture imported from every corner of the world. Which filled a niche in the Maltese market, which was previously not catered for.
The product list now includes classical, contemporary and modern furniture. The range has expanded to encompass other household compliments such as lighting, tableware, soft furnishings and a large variety of ceramics and glassware.
The main showrooms are situated in Iklin Lija and in Fgura, with branches also in G'mangia, Sliema and B'bugia. It is also envisaged that another showroom consisting of two storeys will be opened in Victoria, Gozo before the end of 2003.
This network also ensures that Orienta shops are in easy “reach”. To ensure customer satisfaction trained staffs including specialised florists are always at hand to give on the spot advice.
Orienta and its staff were instrumental for the production of the popular television program "Ideat” The home makeovers shown on the program set a new concept of do-it-yourself home decorating. Since then a home decorating service has been established in all Orienta branches - not only providing interior decorating advice and visuals, but also offering the service of carrying out the work when required.
